Death Takes No HolidayBy Wayne Boettcher The Good Ship Democratic Party sails on socialist seas with radical Howard Dean as her new Captain. Claiming the party as his own he seized power and proceeded to steer the rudder far left, locking it down with a powerful scream. Liberal media, being inexorably wed to whatever course is taken by Democrats, must ride the storm willy-nilly as they enthusiastically support the Party Line. Whenever information is to be slanted or hidden from the public, they leap to obey while respectfully tugging their forelocks. And of course, Death is the baby that makes three. Death rides the Left like a demented cowboy on a runaway horse, charging ever onward while bodies pile up higher than mountains in grim monuments to mortality. What makes them kill? Where did it begin? Why must so many die? Who is chuckling with glee at the sight of the many murdered? When will it stop? How do they not see the terrible consequences of foolish actions? Regretfully, I cannot answer all of these questions in this column but I will try to explain. It's not that the left starts out deciding to kill and kill until they are too tired to carry on. There is always some noble cause, like creating a communist utopia. They don't want to kill, but in order to bring about this wonderful paradise they must eradicate those who would prevent them from achieving their lofty goals. To each according to his need, from each according to his ability. They only take the lives they need, and indeed give their all for the cause. Once the State is firmly established, they believe they can stop killing and have peace. But there are always problems with the State, which must be rectified with more murder. Incentive dies, too and must be reinforced with punishment and torture. More laws have to be enacted, and many courts built to enforce them. Camps, prisons and killing fields are increased as the Five Year Plan goals are not met. Eventually, in the Soviet Union at least, a break was needed from the slaughter and they just quit, causing many left wing groups, politicians and journalists in the US and Europe to gasp in dismay. Another toxic left wing cause is the promotion of homosexuality. AIDS is not the only deadly disease prevalent in this peculiar culture, but it's the biggest. Add to that drug overdoses and suicides by sexually abused minors. Add again the high crime rate associated with the party lifestyle that must be maintained in order not to think about what they are doing and the death rate increases. Liberal media aids the promotion of this lethal lifestyle by censoring vital scientific data that reveals homosexuality is not genetic. In fact, many people have quit that way of life and are alive today because of their choice. Heterosexual promiscuity doesn't have as high a mortality index but is also encouraged by entertainment and news media. Do liberals want to kill so many in this manner? Doubtful, but how can they ignore the end results of their activities? And then there's abortion. With over forty million babies destroyed since Roe vs. Wade it's no wonder some young mothers feel it's ok to dump the already born ones in a dumpster in order to continue their "fun" life. The left relentlessly promotes abortion in all forms and for all ages, hysterically opposing any attempt to enlighten uninformed women of the risks and dangers to their own lives as deadly breast cancer and uterine punctures take their toll. Euthanasia is another poisonous position of the left as promulgated by "Dr. Death" Kevorkian. The devious way it's encouraged is by using extreme examples to justify killing those who deserve and desire to live. Few object to letting someone die when that person is dying and being kept alive by extraordinary means. Killing a healthy living person is a whole different matter. How to figure out the line between the two? Don't let the leftist "pro-choice" believers choose or you might find yourself pushing up daisies! It seems that once they are turned loose, the standards for "letting someone go" become extremely flexible - in one direction. Socialist slaughterers prevail in the Netherlands where many are afraid to go to a doctor for fear they will be involuntarily terminated. On the other hand, sometimes families will not allow their older or sicker members to visit a doctor for fear they will be cured. It's easier to just let them die. The killing has reached epidemic proportions. The Dutch didn't start out with the intention of exterminating so many, or at least most didn't, I hope. But the road to death is slippery as if with blood, and slanted downward like a chute in a slaughterhouse. They start out with good intentions, and then decide more have to die, even though they are only a little sick. But those people can't legally be killed. So a few lies are necessary to "make it legal." If anyone objects, they are labeled as pro-life crazies, shouted at, cursed and attacked with every means possible until the person they are trying to protect is dead. Then it's on to the next victim! In America, the left wing death mongers are now murdering disabled but cognitive Terri Schiavo. Legally she could not be killed, so much lying was necessary. Her husband Michael Schiavo, suspected by her parents of strangling Terri, maintains she is in a persistent vegetative state. She is not. He repeats over and over that Terri can't speak or think when doctors and nurses and other members of the family testify that she has spoken words and showed the ability to think. One nurse reported that Terri Schiavo has the ability to eat and drink on her own if allowed. The Shiavo case does not even meet the minimum killing standards of pro-euthanasia liberals. Yet, to accelerate their own agenda, leftist journalists, judges and politicians are doing everything in their power to make sure Terri doesn't stay alive by ignoring the facts. They don't seem to realize that by their actions they prove the supposition pro-lifers have that if euthanasia is allowed, lies will be told about patients and many will die unnecessarily. As I write this, Terri Schiavo is in her eighth day of starvation. She will not survive much longer. A few more calls, a little more email and a fax or two are all we can muster on the side of good. It seems as if only Florida Governor Jeb Bush can save this poor woman now, and that by defying court orders. We must do whatever we can to promote life as America enters a new era of death and destruction. There has to be a way to overcome the carnage the left would impose upon us. Liberal judges must be impeached, Democrat politicians voted out, and every death dealing policy protested.
