What's wrong with evolution theory?By Wayne Boettcher The title is a question which evolution believers don't want to hear, because then they might also learn the answer. To find out your innermost beliefs about the meaning of life are being questioned is bad enough. But the consequences of the answer! Casting doubt on evolution theory inevitably leads to...accountability. For if Darwin was wrong, we may indeed be held responsible for our actions while on earth, and possibly face judgment for them at the end of it! And that is a scary thought which causes evolution theory proponents to run and hide from this frightful inquiry. There are indeed many problems with evolution theory and I cannot address them all in one column so I will discuss a few of the main contentions, starting with some aspects of biology. I'm no biologist so I will explain in simple terms as I understand it. If you are one and need more technical references, check the related links at the end of the column. Let me start by saying there are two types of evolution which often get confused with each other. Microevolution is basically where adaptation occurs within a species (it is chiefly not disputed) while Macroevolution is the type of Darwinian philosophy which claims a tiny one celled organism eventually evolved into - you! Evolution believers say that mutation observed in molecular biology proves evolution. But that doesn't prove Macroevolution! You can alter bacteria but it doesn't change into another species. And it never will. Adaptability is not Darwinian evolution, just good flexible design. When genes are manipulated scientists are taking things that are already wonderfully made and then playing around with it. How did the incredibly complicated microscopic world get there in the first place when one part that supposedly evolved has no purpose without another part? Why would those two parts evolve seperately when they have no purpose by themselves? Evolution dogma states that the fossil record proves evolution. But it doesn't. For one thing, the earliest fossils are from the Cambrian period, which has the most fossils. For evolution to be true, we'd start out with fewer and then get more fossils later! But real record is just the opposite. One of the earliest fossils is the trilobite. You would think it would be very simple since it is so early, but it has a complicated eye. How could that be? The eye is comprised of very complicated parts where some don't make sense without the other parts. Once again, why would one section evolve by itself when it needs others to make it work? Scientist don't agree on fossils. Some say dinosaurs are lizards, others that they are birdlike creatures who evolved into birds. At least that's different from the normally simplistic evolution view that everything just evolved into a bigger version, like they used to say about horses. There was once a horse evolution poster that you can't find anymore because even the most fanatic evolutionists have disavowed it as being too embarrassing and fraudulent. A few years ago one dreamy digger announced he found "faint lines" in a fish fossil that "could be finger bones." I had to stare in amazement at the liberal media trumpeting of evolution "science" at work. Those faint fossil lines could be anything! Give me a break! Fake fossils and fossil interpretations are rampant. With no links between species in the fossil record, shady paleontologists and evolution crackpots have gone overboard in their frenetic attempts to hoax the public. From Piltdown Man to "Lucy" missing link hoaxes abound through history. They really want that "human" missing link - bad enough to lie and cheat to get it. Piltdown Man was an out and out fraud. "Lucy" was just some old monkey bones, not even found together. The knee joint was discovered miles away from the skull fragments. That's quite a stretch! In Red China the proletariat villagers are very poor. But they've discovered a great way to make money. Glue fossils together and sell them to gullible Western paleontologists. That worked pretty good with the Archaeoraptor until they got caught. National Geographic was quite embarrassed and had to retract their big missing link scoop. Later they reported that "huge quantities of fossils are illegally excavated and smuggled out each year" from Red China although in the same article they also claim that discovered hoaxes and smuggled fossils don't mean feathered dinosaurs aren't real. Jonathan Wells' classic book "Icons of Evolution" points out many other types of hoaxes used to "prove" evolution, including the discredited Miller-Urey Experiment, the faked Pepper Moth Study and even Haeckel's whacked out fraudulent embryo drawings, accepted for many years by naive evolution believers who desperately wanted them to be true. If you haven't read that book I suggest an immediate trip to the library or bookstore. There is also a free article online called "Survival of the Fakest" based on the book. Print it out and give it to someone you love. The layers of the Earth can be seen in the Grand Canyon but what evolution fanatics won't tell you is that the layers are different in different parts of the world. The "Geologic Overthrust" theory used to rationalize this is nothing short of bizarre, like most explanations of enormous evolution anomalies. Sometimes fossil age is determined by which layer they are found in and sometimes the layers age is determined by the fossils found in it! There are many more questions to be asked of the strangely non-scientific scientists who promote evolution like some kind of cult. But they refuse to answer, sometimes in fear of career denigration. If any professor in a college even hints of doubting any aspect of evolution that instructor is immediately in danger of losing position, grants and even their job. They dare not cross the liberal Gestapo of today's collegiate world that rigidly controls and censors all college knowledge. The same can happen in many companies who are afraid of peer pressure or liberal media attacks. Evolution believers have no real plan of action to defend their notion that a blade of grass can change into an elephant - given enough time. Common sense questions like "which of the two sexes developed first and how did it find a mate?" drive them crazy. Painted into a logical corner, they resort to name calling and changing the subject. They usually refuse to answer any questions, indeed, refuse to hear any questions. Just thinking that their closely held beliefs could possibly be wrong is very upsetting to them! However, we still have free speech in this country and there is much information to be had that questions evolution theory. We can't prove scientifically that God made the world, neither can evolution believers prove He didn't. But their fraudulent attempts to do so must be countered with logic and facts. Since churches are heavily impacted by evolution theory, they often help with seminars; many Christians are boldly stepping forth to dispute evolution hoaxes, frauds and wacky theories. Here in our state the Arizona Origin Science Association meets every month and other seminars sometimes can be found. Wherever you are, find one and attend; order some books on Creation Science, Intelligent Design or refutation of evolution hoaxes. Read them, become current on what's happening in your community and protest liberal censorship of the truth in public schools and colleges. Give books to friends, reprint articles and spread facts and logical information through your community. Keep sending information to newspapers and TV news programs. As often as possible, teach children to think logically, look at both sides and decide for themselves. When facts are allowed, we win every time. We don't need censorship, they do.
