Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How did you get that T-shirt web shop?
A. Through spreadshirt, a "print on demand" internet shirt shop. When you order a shirt or other item, you are donating a portion to AmericanProtest.net.
Q. What is the WEB version of the Bible?
A. It is the World English
Version, a non copyrighted modern version of the Bible.
Q. Why do you have a circle slash around ACLU? Does
that mean you hate them?
A. No, we do not hate anybody. Think about a no
smoking sign in a building. There is a circle slash around a cigarette;
meaning according to the rules there is no smoking in the area. The people
who run the building don't hate those who smoke. They are simply
letting everyone know the rules. It is the same thing with the public expression
of Christianity. It is against the rules (US
Constitution, 1st amendment) to prohibit the free exercise of religion;
therefore we are simply explaining the rules about prayer, crosses and the 10 Commandments.
Q. What about Separation of Church and State? Why don't
you look at that part of the US Constitution?
A. Because Separation of Church and State is not in the US Constitution.
It was in a letter. Click on David
Barton's explanation if you want to know more about how this phrase
was twisted around to advance a liberal agenda.
Q. Do you recommend violence or sabotage during protesting?
A. No, we do not under any circumstance. We only advocate using peaceful
legal means to protest liberal agendas. We especially advocate prayer
during protesting.
Q. Why do you say liberal agendas, plural? Isn't there
just one big liberal agenda?
A. Not really. Although most liberals promote most of the agendas, many
don't support certain parts. For instance someone who supports gun control
may be against abortion.
Q. I wore one of your t-shirts and someone asked me
a question about it that I don't know the answer to.
A. Write down the question and find out the answer from our links
page or by searching the web. Pray about it and let God lead you to
the answer. You can always contact us
with the question and we will give our best answer or reference.
Q. I have never protested anything before, how can I
get started?
A. Start by being informed on the issues, then writing letters to your
city, county, state and federal representatives. They have a legitimate
beef with you if you protest them but never even told them your point
of view to start out with. I understand it's kind of silly to write a
letter or email advocating lower taxes to someone like Tom Daschle, but
it's the first step. Also check our links page
for other protesting organizations to learn more about protesting. Make
a donation to a worthy non-profit group if you can.
Q. Where am I going to find the time to protest?
A. Have you seen our "Once A Week
Campaign?" Really, it depends on how much you care about what's
going on in this country compared to how much time you spend on all your
activities. If you are working 14 hours a day at the Food Bank, I recommend
you keep doing that. Obviously you do care about your country and have
found a good way to help. We're not looking to take away from helpful
work that you are currently doing. If you could find a little time to
pick up the phone and call your congressman or city council member when
you hear about some new liberal law or tax that would be great. A little
protesting goes a long way. It would help if you keep the contact info
with you. On the other hand, if most of your spare time is spent on entertainment,
there is probably quite a bit of time you can allocate to protesting liberal
agendas by subtracting a little playtime. I know it's hard to quit playing
that exciting video game or put down that great novel. Believe me, I know!
But when you think about the oppressive countries of this world and how
we are headed in that direction, maybe this is the time to stand up for
America!
Q. I would like to debate you at length about your conservative
ideals or an issue because I think you're wrong about this, that or the
other thing.
A. We have individually spent some time debating on internet forums in
the past; however, for the purpose of this enterprise we do not have the
resources for large debates. Right now we are concentrating on providing
assistance for those who protest liberal agendas. You can use the links section to
find some forums where they debate these issues; they will also help you
understand why so many people wish to protest liberal agendas. Someday
we hope to help sponsor real debates in the mainstream media.
Q. Why do you want to protest liberal agendas? Aren't
liberals just nice, groovy people?
A. We believe these agendas are harmful to the USA, to all Americans and
even just people in general. Many liberals are just nice, groovy people
who are simply misguided. When you protest a liberal agenda you also inform,
and hopefully these well meaning liberals will someday understand that
there are more effective ways to be nice and help others, like Christian
conservatives do all over the world on a constant basis.
Q. I think you have a great organization so where can
I donate to it?
A. We are a non profit organization but I'm still working on the payment setup, in the mean time
there are many deserving non profit groups on our links page.
Q. I have a great column you should publish, what should I do?
A. Send it to me and I'll consider publishing it.
